This page explains and answers common questions you might have in order to book your session with clarity & confidence! :)
General
I encourage our clients to wear clothing that reflects their personal style and makes them feel confident and comfortable. Whether you prefer a formal look with suits and dresses or a more casual vibe with jeans and t-shirts, the key is to wear something that embodies your personality.
I recommend avoiding clothing with loud patterns or logos that can be distracting and instead opt for solid colors or subtle prints.
Additionally, choosing clothing that complements each other within a group shot can create a cohesive and visually pleasing result. Ultimately, the most important thing is to wear something that makes you feel like your best self, as that will shine through in your portraits.
We will edit your photos and deliver them electronically within at least 7 business days of the shoot. This number may fluctuate depending on demand and other unforeseen circumstances.
You may request the original RAW photos after 14 days of your purchase and alter the photographs to your liking if we are unsuccessful in satisfying your needs.
Yes, you can reschedule your booking up to 2 days before the shoot. If you need to reschedule within 12 hours, please email us at contact@shotbysheldon.ca with your preferred date and time.
We retain copyright ownership of all photographs. You are granted a non-exclusive license to use the photographs for personal and non-commercial purposes. Commercial use of the photographs requires a separate agreement and fee with special shoots.
You can print the photos you recieve, however, this may change in the future.
We charge the full amount upfront when you book. You can pay via E-Transfer, Debit/Credit, or use Stripe to pay in 4 instalments over 8 weeks. We aim to make payments as convenient as possible for you.
Yes. I capture raw images on my SD card and capture a copy of the original image on another SD card. These images are then backed up onto a hard drive and stored for 14 days (2 weeks).
We collect various types of information to provide you with the best service. This includes your name, email address, phone number, booking details (date, time, location, service), and any messages or feedback you send us. We also gather technical information like your IP address and browser type. For security reasons, we do not store your card information on our site. You'll need to enter it each time you book.
If you cancel your photoshoot at least 12 hours before the scheduled date, we will issue a full refund.
Unfortunately, if you cancel less than 12 hour of the photoshoot, we are only able to offer a partial refund of 50% of the total booking fee, while anything before 1 hour or you simply do not show up for your scheduled session ("No Show"), you will recieve NO refund. This ensures that parties are both liable for the booking.
Absolutely! We just ask that you mention us in your post, either by tagging our username in the caption or tagging one of the photos (preferably the first one).
I currently stick to package pricing ─ you’ll pay for the session fee and delivered digital image files all in one price.
